You’re invited to join the inaugural Morgan Explores driving event, ‘Pyrenees Pursuit’, which takes place between Tuesday 24 and Friday 27 September.
Morgan Explores is a new group driving tour format from the Morgan Motor Company in partnership with HERO-ERA. Putting driving adventure and unforgettable experiences at the heart of your driving adventure, Morgan Explores will take place each year in a different location.
The first event, ‘Pyrenees Pursuit’, takes place in Morgan’s 115th year and pieces together the greatest driving roads and beautiful locations throughout Northern Spain and the French Dordogne. Join between 35 and 40 other like-minded explorers for one of the largest dedicated Morgan driving events of the year.
WHAT TO EXPECT..
Morgan Explores will start on Tuesday 24th September in Northern Spain – ideal for any of our British participants, with excellent ferry links from the UK and being fully accessible from mainland Europe.
Our bespoke route will guide you and your Morgan through a variety of landscapes across both Spain and France, from the mountain ranges of the Picos, along the coastal routes of the Cantabrian Sea, through the spectacular Pyrenees mountain range and taking in the Dordogne region in France to finish the tour.
Take your pick of a modern-age digital route, a rally-style tulip roadbook, or a good old-fashioned map to guide your Pyrenees pursuit. You couldn’t ask for better company for your journey, surrounded by fellow Morgan enthusiasts and adventure seekers. Each day includes breakfast, lunch, an evening meal, and opportunities to visit points of interest along the way.
The overnight accommodations are chosen for their characterful and comfortable luxury, with plenty of time to enjoy top-notch hospitality and relax each day. You’ll be in good hands on this fully hosted tour, with the organisational team one step-ahead to ensure that your luggage awaits at the hotel, the driving route is clear, and that the venues are ready to welcome you. Savvy navigation and driving skill will be needed to master the elevation changes and the occasional challenging terrain is sure to delight the thrill-seekers. A mechanical support crew will follow the route and remain on-hand to provide road-side assistance or technical support, should the need arise
DAY ONE
Embark on an exhilarating journey in your Morgan setting off from a converted sixteenth century palace in Northern Spain. Tour some of the best coastal roads along the Cantabrian Sea, before your Morgan gracefully navigates the winding roads of the Picos de Europa. Finish the day by travelling to the historic city of Burgos, where you will spend the night in a 14th century gothic style hotel, immersing yourself in the charming medieval village.
DAY TWO
Embark on an exhilarating journey in your Morgan setting off from a converted sixteenth century palace in Northern Spain. Tour some of the best coastal roads along the Cantabrian Sea, before your Morgan gracefully navigates the winding roads of the Picos de Europa. Finish the day by travelling to the historic city of Burgos, where you will spend the night in a 14th century gothic style hotel, immersing yourself in the charming medieval village.
DAY THREE
Day three allows your Morgan to shine yet again as you twist and turn through Pyrenees passes. There’s no shortage of breath-taking vistas as well as a diverse mix of flora and fauna. By cable car you will visit Pic Du Midi, the Pyrenees natural balcony, to experience some unforgettable panoramas. Finally, you will head to a charming rural farm for your evening stay. Here you will enjoy authentic local French cuisine with ingredients sourced directly from the farm and surrounding areas.
DAY FOUR
The transition from mountainous terrain to rolling hills and vineyards is seamlessly picturesque as you head towards the enchanting Dordogne region to the private members club at Chateau de Sermet, Club des Autos. Here you will enjoy a picnic lunch, enjoying the 140 acres of uninterrupted views of the Dordogne French countryside. You will later head out on a boating experience exploring the river in Dordogne, passing some on the most charming villages in France. You will arrive at Périgord for a stay in an elegant 19th century hotel to finish the trip.
WHAT DOES THE MORGAN EXPLORES ENTRY FEE INCLUDE?

WHAT DOES THE ENTRY FEE INCLUDE?
The entry fee of £5,900 includes bringing your own Morgan with a crew of 2 people. 4 days of driving and 4 nights accommodation with all meals included on each event day. A detailed itinerary, mechanical support, media crew, luggage service, road book navigation, digital maps and special event rally plates for your vehicle.WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE ENTRY FEE?
Vehicle transport as well as the pre-event evening meal and overnight is not included. Each crew is responsible for any travel costs preceding the event, which starts on September 24th at 9:00. Fuel is not included. Certain activities and refreshment stops will be marked in the roadbook as optional and are therefore not included. Vehicle, event cancellation, and travel insurance are the responsibility of the entrants and are excluded from the entry fee. The entry fee covers two people in one vehicle, sharing accommodation. If separate rooms are required this can usually be arranged for an additional charge, and is subject to availability.
WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE A MORGAN
You can hire a Morgan from Morgan Experience at a total booking fee of £9,500 which includes a vehicle and a crew of 2 people (the booking fee also includes transporting the vehicle from the UK). We will have both Plus Four and Super 3 available to hire, subject to availability. Your local dealer may also be able to provide a Morgan for you to hire. The event is exclusively for Morgan, therefore entry in another make or model of vehicle is not permitted.

PAYMENT TERMS
A non-refundable £500 deposit is required to secure your space on the tour. This can be paid directly through the payment link on this page. The remaining balance will be due on or before April 22nd. This event balance payment will be made directly to our events partner, HERO-ERA Ltd T/A Itineris Un Ltd via bank transfer. You will receive an invoice within 7 days of booking.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
A trip meter is optional for this event and the route can be followed without a trip by clearly marked road signs and junction diagrams. There are a number of apps which can be used in place of a trip such as “Rally Tripmeter” or “Track Pal”
DO WE HAVE TO DRIVE TOGETHER?
Alongside other Morgan Enthusiast crews, cars naturally tend to stay together along the route, making the most of the scheduled activities, hospitality and overnight accommodation. You can certainly make additional stops along should you wish but may risk missing out on pre-planned stops.
HOW MUCH LUGGAGE CAN I BRING?
Transported by our luggage service, there will be an allowance of up to 25kg per crew.
WHAT IF I HAVE TO CANCEL?
If you have to cancel your entry, your initial deposit is non-refundable. If the final balance of the event has been paid, the amount refundable will be determined by the date of cancellation.
DO I NEED ANY SPECIAL INSURANCE?
We recommend you take out your own event insurance for the occasion you cannot make the event.
Check with your insurance provider that you will be covered when motoring through France/ Spain.
You will also require travel insurance with appropriate health care cover.
IS FUEL INCLUDED IN THE ENTRY FEE?
Fuel is not included in the entry fee. There will be marked fuel stations along the route. We recommend filling up where you can as some of the more obscure roads there will be limited access to fuelling points.
DOES THE HOTEL ACCOMODATION INCLUDE A PRE-EVENT NIGHT?
The hotel accomodation covers four nights, this does not include a pre-event night.
WILL I HAVE ANY TIME TO SPEND WITH MY CO-DRIVER DURING THE TRIP?
Of course. Whilst Morgan Explores is designed as a group driving tour, there will be plenty of opportunity to spend time away from the group should you wish.
DOES THE MECHANICAL SUPPORT INCLUDE ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE?
Mechnical support is a team of technicians who can help get you back on the road. In the unfortunate event that you need to be recovered, guests will need their own roadside recovery.
DOES THE MEAL PROVISION INCLUDE ANY REFRESHMENT STOPS ALONG THE ROUTE?
Refreshment stops will be marked along the route each day, allowing you to stop and refuel. These refreshment stops are optional and are not included in the meal provision.
