Charity
The Morgan Motor Company is extremely passionate about the communities we’re proud to be part of. We support them in a number of ways and aim to make a positive contribution to improving people’s life chances. For 2024, Morgan has chosen to support both the Mission Motorsport and the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity as part of our ongoing effort to give back to the community and support those in need.
MISSION MOTORSPORT
Mission Motorsport is the Forces’ motorsport charity, aimed at rehabilitating and aiding the recovery of ex-military personnel by providing opportunities through motorsport and the wider automotive industry. Since 2012, Mission Motorsport has helped place over 2,000 veterans into employment through industry partnerships and engaged almost 2,100 injured or sick veterans through various sporting events.
Morgan is proud to support Mission Motorsport, collaborating on multiple projects over the last few years. Most recently, Morgan entered two new Plus Four Race cars into the Race of Remembrance held at Anglesey Circuit in November 2021. Race of Remembrance is an annual remembrance service and race meeting organised by the charity as a way to remember the fallen, and also raise awareness of Mission Motorsport’s mission.
Beyond support at motorsport events, Morgan has employed a number of recent veterans over the last few years. Skills and experience learned as part of a career in the forces have proven highly conducive to many roles at Morgan.
On 11th June 2022, Morgan signed the Ministry of Defence Armed Forces Covenant as part of a further commitment to Mission Motorsport and the armed forces community.
MIDLANDS AIR AMBULANCE CHARITY
Throughout 2024, Morgan will support Midlands Air Ambulance Charity with a number of fundraising initiatives, while also collaborating on several Morgan and MAAC organised events to help raise awareness for the MAAC and its vital lifesaving service.
Beyond collaborating to fundraise, the partnership will also see MAAC provide potentially lifesaving mission support training to employees at the Morgan factory on Pickersleigh Road, including CPR and first aid training from the charity’s critical care team. The Morgan Experience Centre will also open its doors to MAAC critical care staff as a rest stop between missions as part of the charity’s Brew for the Crew scheme.
In March 2023, ahead of announcing the partnership, several Morgan staff visited the charity’s Strensham air base to meet members of the lifesaving critical care team and hear more about the excellent pre-hospital emergency service that the charity provides.
CHARITY REQUESTS
Morgan Motor Company has many long-standing commitments to local and national charities to which we commit considerable time, energy and resources.
To ensure that we continue to support them in the way we wish to, and the way they deserve, we are not currently able to consider requests to support other good causes.
